THE BIG...
BANANA #1 🍌
LOCATION: Coffs Harbour (QLD)
This beauty is one of Australia's oldest BIG THINGS — having been built in 1964!
Excitingly, this is one of he few BIG THINGS you can walk inside of (which is awesome!).

THE BIG...
BANDICOOT
LOCATION: Hamilton (VIC)
This fabulously playful Big Bandicoot resides in the front driveway of the Bandicoot Motor Inn.
This was a fantastically fun (and very accidental!) discovery for #TeamALPHABET. We definitely didn't see this one coming...
THE BIG...
BANANA #2 🍌
LOCATION: Mackay (QLD)
It's not the first Big Banana we've seen BUT it is the first Big Banana wearing cool shades (on both sides of its head!).
This banana has been around for over three decades BUT only recently received its snazzy paint job and sunglasses — in 2017. Before that, it was very simply painted...
THE BIG...
BARREL #1
LOCATION: Bundaberg (QLD)
There's a couple of Big Barrels around and about Australia...
We found this one in Bundaberg (which is a town that #TeamALPHABET absolutely adored).
This particular barrel housed the factory shop front for all sorts of fabulous fizzy confections — all brewed in Bundaberg.

THE BIG...
BARREL #2
LOCATION: Bald Knob (QLD)
Inside this barrel is a fantastic restaurant — where a a lovely afternoon was spent by a few members of #TeamALPHABET.
THE BIG...
BEE #1 🐝
LOCATION: Molong (NSW)
This beautiful bee was discovered in a scrap metal yard in Molong — along with a whole host of other incredible scrap metal creations.
Gosh there are some talented people around Australia! We love this beautiful busy buzzy bee.

THE BIG...
BEE #2 🐝
LOCATION: Beechworth (VIC)
We had been lead to beelieve (see what I did there?) that this fab bee was hanging in the Honey Shop in Beechworth — but when we arrived it was nowhere to bee found!
However, after enquiring as to its location, we were told that it had been shifted to the Beechworth "Bee School" (a bee and honey education centre) — and this is where we snapped a pic of it!
Apparently this bee was created by the local primary school. Brilliant work!

THE BIG...
BEEHIVE 🐝
LOCATION: Urunga (NSW)
This massive beehive forms the entrance to a fabulous looking honey (and other things) store. Unfortunately it was after hours by the time we swung by this big thing, so no honey was purchased (NEXT TIME!).
THE BIG...
BOTTLE #1
LOCATION: Bundaberg (QLD)
In the middle of sugar cane country stands the Big Bottle — just outside the Bundaberg Rum Distillery.
Rum (as it turns out) is made from three basic ingredients — molasses (a byproduct of sugar refinement), yeast and water. Our visit to the distillery was quite the science lesson!
Also, it seems there are a few funny peeps about our for Professor Noel Edge's dad joke crown — the tour operators were VERY entertaining!

THE BIG...
BOWLING PIN 🎳
LOCATION: Warragul (VIC)
There are a LOT of big bowling pins in various cities and towns across Australia. We discovered this one perched atop a bowling alley in Warragul.

THE BIG...
BOTTLE #2
LOCATION: Rutherglen (VIC)
This ginormous wine bottle can be found towering over the town of Rutherglen.
The base of the bottle is a water tower, which was constructed in 1900. The wire top — which turns the tower into a bottle — was added in 1969.
The bottle is 35.66 metres tall... one of the BIGGEST of the BIG THINGS that #TeamALPHABET have discovered on their travels.

THE BIG...
BOWLING PINS 🎳
LOCATION: Kerang (VIC)
As mentioned above, there are a LOT of big bowling pins in various cities and towns across Australia! We found this pair in the lovely little town of Kerang...

THE BIG...
BROLGAS 🎳
LOCATION: Corowa (NSW)
We found this beautiful trio of Big Brolgas in Corowa. The piece was commissioned by the Shire Council as a welcome to the region.

THE BIG...
BULL
LOCATION: Rockhampton (VIC)
Rockhampton very proudly professes to be the "Beef Capital of Australia", and very proudly wear's that honour on its streets — through a series of Big Bull monuments.
This is just ONE of them!

THE BIG...
BUNCH OF BANANAS
LOCATION: Coffs Harbour (QLD)
Coffs Harbour is not only the home of the Big Banana, it's also home to the big BUNCH of bananas!
Although it looks as if a few of these have been stolen (maybe there's a big monkey also hiding out in Coffs Harbour!?).
